PARIS
So, it’s been a number of years since my last leisure visit to the City of Lights – 2003 to be exact – but the memories live on. From my very first taste of Paris in 1998 when we were still “out of it,” as true tourists and just getting to know all the arrondissements and ways around town to sampling everything Parisienne. Now we’ve somewhat become experts on a few things non-touristy for e.g., which routes to take and what days NOT to take them to the irony of avoiding everything “touristy.” Alas, I imagine we’ve all been there and eventually found our love and fondness of Paris from Quartier Le Latin in the 5th/6th arrondissements to the Champs ‘Elysee.

Our home away from home in Paris remains at Le Meurice while the hubby has meetings, but long before we were familiar to the layout of town, there were the tourist hotels off Le Madeleine and surrounding districts. We hope to return for another weekend jaunt even if to eat at our favorite bistro and browse Le Louvre on a Sunday afternoon.
